Blog Introduction
Once again, welcome to our class blog! The blog is a place for you to discuss your thoughts about our class reading and activities. We will visit the computer lab, as a class on a regular basis. There will be various assignments and questions posted here that you must complete and discuss.
You are also welcome to visit our blog outside of class, independently and I encourage you to do so. This is a place where you can ask your classmates questions about the reading or other things related to our class.
I remind you, however, that your activity on this site will be closely monitored and you are responsible for your comments. Your comments should be acceptable to everyone. That includes your parents, grandparents, younger siblings, teachers, Principal, etc. Your postings should not inlcude any material that any of these people might find offensive. If you need to think twice about saying something, it is probably best to leave it out.

friends? It's more than just because Aunt Clara told George to take care of Lennie. What does each offer the other?

george and lennie are friends because all they have is eachother.their only friends are eachtother and they stick together through everything.yes george gave aunt clara is word and he could break that promise if he wanted to but he cares about lennie and wouldnt do that to him.
Lennie offers george the strenght to work and George offers Lennie getting the jobs for Lennie. Also they are friends because all they have is each other and if they split up they would have nobody.
YEA LENNIE IS SLOW BUT HE HAS ALOT TO OFFER GEORGE. LIKE HE IS STRONG AND HE CAN DEFEND GEORGE AND HE CAN WORK FOR GEORGE. GEORGE HAS ALOT TO OFFER LENNIE LIKE TO HELP HIOM UNDERSTAND THINGS BETTER AND DONT LET OTHERS PICK ON HIM. THIS IS KINDA LIKE ME ANGELA AND MELLISSA. ITS MY B-DAY
George and lennie are friends Because lennie has always been there for george and he doesn't really get madd or do something bad to gorge because he doesn't understand when gorge is doing something wrong to him.There is deff more then just because aunt clara told George too.George offers lennie a life, dream and hopes.Lennie Offers gorege the feeling of how to be a kid agian.=]

George and Lennie are friends because they only have eachother. George cares about Lennie a lot.
There is more than one reason George and Lennie are friends. Yes Lennie's Aunt Clara asked George to take care of Lennie but as they spend more time together they grow closer. Niether of them have anyone else but eachother. George helps Lennie by getting him jobs and taking care of him. Lennie helps George by giving him company and like angela said making him feel like a kid.
George and Lennie are friends because they each have something to offer one another that each one lacks. Lennie offers strength, while George provides, food, work and usual a place to stay. He tries to keep Lennie out of trouble as well. I think the reason they are with each other is beyond the fact that George promised Aunt Clara, but because they have each others company.
I agree with Mich because Geroge and Lennie only have each other. Yes it's beacuse of Lennie's aunt because Lennie is slow so George helps him out by getting him a job, keeping him out of trouble and just being his friend. I feel that if George wasn't there for Lennie he would be made front of and put in jail because he kills things when he doesn't mean to.

i agree with mish because she is absolutely amazing :] haha and because she is right. George and Lennie are friends because they have something to offer to eachother like escape from lonliness. Lennie offers strength but George offers jobs and smartness and a place to stay, things like that.
I agree with mish because George has Lennie for strength and Lennie has George to give the food and help him stay out of trouble. I think there friend ship means alot to one another.

I think that Lennie and Geroge are friends because they care about each other and look out for each other. Also,because them being friends gives them company and the escape from loneliness.
I believe that George and Lennie are friends because they help each other. George is with Lennie for company and Lennie is with George so Lennie can survive. I also believe that George and Lennie really do care for each other and so they can live out their dream.
I think that George and Lennie are friends because they help each other get through the day. George cares about Lennie and even though he promises aunty that he would watch over him he knew he could have a better life and still he sticks with Lennie because he loves him. I knew people would probably see Lennie and run because he is slow and forgets things and would get really mad but George got mad but he controlled his temper enough to help Lennie knowing he is slow. They each offer the friendship of trust. Lennie is the strengh and George is the smart person out of the two poeple.

I think George and Lennie are friends because they give each other a escape from isoolation. They both have someone who cares about them. That as what George said gives a damn about them. He cares about Lennie it isn't just because Lennie's Aunt Clara asked him to look out for him it is because they have been together for so long and they are each others comfort. They are always there for each other. Although George has to make a difficult decision to kind of save Lennie.
